The Yamaha RZ250 is one of the most sought-after vintage two-stroke motorcycles. Here's how we approach a full restoration:
Phase 1: Assessment Complete teardown and cataloging of all parts. We photograph everything and create a detailed condition report for each component.
Phase 2: Frame & Chassis The frame is stripped, media blasted, and inspected for cracks. We repaint using original Yamaha colors and apply fresh powder coating where needed.
Phase 3: Engine Rebuild Complete bottom-end rebuild including new crankshaft bearings, seals, and gaskets. Top-end rebuild with OEM pistons and rings. Carburetor rebuild with new jets and needles.
Phase 4: Electrical Rewire as needed with period-correct wiring. Restore or replace gauges, switches, and lighting.
Phase 5: Finishing New paint in factory colors, authentic decals, fresh tires, and final assembly. Every bolt is torqued to specification.
The result is a machine that looks and performs like it just left the factory.
